Shelly the Recycledelic Snail
Shelly the Recycledelic Snail was created for the 2022 Oregon Country Fair. We ground down (# 5) polypropylene from single-use to-go containers that would otherwise end up in a landfill. We then re-formed them into sheets and blended them with beautiful colors to build her shell. She then slid onto the festival scene to delight kids of ages at OCF and Pickathon, before finding a home at Tucker Maxon School.
Construction for Shelly has already begun! Julia is making a life-size version based on her smaller model.
